Poem: Believe

“Believe" said the Angel
as she cradled the head
of the man who slept
Dreaming of his wife and marriage.

“Believe” said the Angel
to the helpless boy by the car
With bike wheels still spinning
as his heart stopped its beat.

“Believe” said the Angel
as She stretched out her wings
and covered the battle field
the man still in love.

“Believe” said the Angel
to the drunkard who cried.
As he lowered his head
he smiled and died.

“Believe" said God
to the Angel of death.
“Your work’s finished now.
Sit still– take a breath.  I will take it from here....."
