Poem: Near

I was laying awake then
dreaming of nothing
Knowing that, as a man of pain
He would enlighten my feet.
I Was forced into a devil’s bargain
and watched dreams die in vain.
Life became my disappointment,
miserable and plain.
Got sick of life
And felt like I was dying
and needed to feel alive.
Watched the sun rise
over the Grand Canyon,
contemplated clouds and other such creations
hoping that some change would set me free.

Cried when the truth was dropped

Beware of my random demons
disguised in a fantastic show.
Colored lied do hypnotize
fleeting souls mezmorized.

Trying to find my innerself
but I am left
disillusioned
meditating in a motel bathroom.
