Poem: Rain

They don’t adapt to cold very well
There is a tear at the bottom of the river
Of the desperate
They can’t get used to the cold
It doesn’t taste like sin anymore
The assassin of the line at the movies
Has been disappointed by Mamma Mia
They run away from the gardens
Mistaken dreams
And after the rain
A thunder goes
Undoing darkness
With kisses that will die
before their born.
Yesterday, Juliet sued Romeo
For domestic violence at the courthouse
When reason sleeps with desire
Things of people in love
The last war commanded from distance
The dorms where soldier sleep.
For more than it rains, I can’t stress enough,
One and one are too many
And at the end a sun rises
Incapable of healing
The wounds of love
And one gets the heart used
to forget.
Sleeping with you was to feel love once
was solitude squared
Everth Saturday is Friday the 13th
All year around, it rains.
Rain drops
Each one on its own
And that’s all folks
This tale is over.
