Writing: What is love?

What is love? I think that love is a response to need fulfillment. It is similar to Business Sales.  Everyone has needs. Every need is a business transaction. The law of Atraction. Supply and Demand at its best. You need this, another needs that. You both see in each other a chance for need of fulfillment. So you agree... tacitly... to a trade. I’ll trade you what I’ve got if you’ll give me what you’ve got. It’s a transaction. But you don’t tell the truth about it. You don’t say, “I trade you very much.” You say, “I love you very much,” and then the disappointment begins.

That’s the problem with truth. The truth is relentless. It won’t leave you alone. It keeps creeping up on you from every side, showing you what’s really so which can he annoying.

If you both agree at a conscious level that the purpose of your relationship is to create an opportunity, not an obligation, an opportunity for growth, for full Self expression, for lifting your lives to their highest potential, for healing every lie or small idea you ever had about you, and for ultimate reunion with God through the communion of your two souls. If you take that vow instead of the vows you’ve been taking the relationship has begun on a very good note.

If you want guarantees in life, then you don’t want life. You want rehearsals for a script that’s already been written.  Life by its nature cannot have guarantees, or its whole purpose is thwarted. Know and understand that there will be challenges and difficult times. Don’t try to avoid them. Welcome them. Gratefully. Cultivate the technique of seeing all problems as opportunities. Opportunities to... be, and decide, Who You Really Are. You don’t have to do anything! If you enjoy life at this level, if you feel this is the ultimate for you, you can have this experience over and over and over again!

There’s nothing “wrong” with anything. “Wrong” is a relative term, indicating the opposite of that which you call “right.” Yet, what is “right”? Can you be truly understand these matters? Or are “right” and “wrong” simply descriptions overlaid on events and circumstances by you, out of your decision about them?

I know what is wrong with me. I understand me now. My memories of my wrongs are back. She loved me. I know she did but I lied to her so that I could make others happy about me without thinking about her who I loved so much more in the first place. I let her down. I put myself at the risk of loosing her and I lost her. Yet those that I tried to do this in the first place for still do not care and so I let the person I love down and I lost her and still lost my family in the process.

Yet, thinking is hard. Making value judgments is difficult. It places you at pure creation, because there are so many times you’ll have to say, “I don’t know. I just don’t know. I need help and I need guidance.” Yet still you’ll have to decide. And so you’ll have to choose. You’ll have to make an arbitrary choice and say to yourself, “I need help from a trusted person” and do not take matters into your own hands.

Such a choice to make and it is so hard to do because we choose most of the time to do things ourselves and that is where we make bad decisions and we lie and we cheat and we destroy other’s lives and yet a decision coming from no previous personal knowledge is supposed to be a good decision... a pure creation.  And the individual is aware, deeply aware, that in the making of such decisions is the Self created in the first place.

What? What is wrong with thinking for yourself? What is wrong with deciding on your own? What is wrong with applying your own yardsticks, your own judgments, your own values? Who do you think we are, anyway?

And, indeed, that is precisely the question you are answering. You do things on your own and when you do that you are on your own but then you ask a very good question. Why go on? Why even start off on such a path? What is to be gained from embarking on such a journey? Where is the incentive? What is the reason? The reason is ridiculously simple. There is nothing else to do.

So the question is not: Why start off on such a path? You have already started off. You did so with the first beat of your heart. The question is: Do I wish to walk this path consciously, or unconsciously? With awareness or lack of awareness? As the cause of my experience, or at the effect of it? ...for you. And that is so because you say it is so. Not long ago all you wanted to do was stay here. Now, all you want to do is leave and hide. That’s a very good sign.

Not long ago you killed everything in your path—bugs, plants, trees, animals, people—now you cannot kill a thing without knowing exactly what you’re doing, and why. That’s a very good sign.

Not long ago you lived life as though it had no purpose. Now you know it has no purpose, save the one you give it. That’s a very good sign.

Not long ago you begged the universe to bring you love. Now you tell the universe your truth. And that’s a very good sign.

Not long ago you sought to be rich and famous. Now you seek to be simply, and wonderfully, your Self.

And not so very long ago I feared love and then you loved her, enough to call her your equal. All of these are very, very good signs but you let her down. She wasn’t your equal. She was a nobody to those around you and you hid her and she hurts and you made bad decisions. You hurt her away.

The more you remember, the more you are able to experience, the more you know, so to speak. And the more you know, the more you remember. It is a circle... But remember, none of it has been exactly a drudge. I mean, you’ve loved all of it! Every last minute! Oh, it’s delicious, this thing called life! It’s a scrumptious experience, no?

And so then, keep on growing David.  Keep on becoming David. And keep on deciding what you want to become in the next highest version of your Self David. Keep on working toward that David. Keep on David! Keep on David! This is God! Work is up to, you. So keep on!

The usual method of creation for most human beings is a three-step process involving thought, word, and deed or action. First comes thought; the formative idea; the initial concept. Then comes the word. Most thoughts ultimately form themselves into words, which are often then written or spoken. This gives added energy to the thought, pushing it out into the world, where it can be noticed by others. Finally, in some cases words are put into action, and you have what you call a result; a physical world manifestation of what all started with a thought.

The most rapid way to change a root thought, or sponsoring idea, is to reverse the thought-word-deed process. Do the deed that you want to have the new thought about. Then say the words that you want to have your new thought about. Do this often enough and you’ll train the mind to think a new way. I want to show up a new man, a sucessful man and find my soul again and find her or a person that can love me again or never at all. Its better never at all if she can’t love me every again.

You hear me. You read me. I know you do and I truly want what you truly want nothing different and nothing more. I truly will achieve that which I have promised. Don’t you see that will be My greatest gift to you? If I wanted for you something other than what you want for you, and then I  went so far as to cause you to have it, where is your free choice? How can you be a creative being if I am dictating what you shall be, do, and have? My joy is in your freedom, not your compliance.
