My Name is Doris Phylicia Williams, I was born in Freetown Sierra Leone, after completing high school I got a scholarship to study in the United States . I got my Psychology Degree at Rend Lake College Ina Illinois and then moved to Maryland to join my family. I am divorced with three children Donicia 16, Donella 15 and Donovan 6 years old. I live in Clarksburg Maryland and I love it there. I have worked in the mental health field for 15 years and lived in America for 19 years. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior for about 10 years now and my life has never been the same. I have received so many prophetic declaration in my life through my Pastor Dr. Abdul K Sesay and I am thankful to God for his life. I never knew that I was a poet until November 2015 when my spiritual Sister Invited me to a Women's Conference in Upper Marlboro Maryland where a Pastor told me that I have a poetic calling in my life. I cried so hard after that but when I came home I told my Pastor and forgot about it, Until last night when my Pastor prophesy again that this is my season of expansions. I then realized with the help of the holy spirit that God wants me to follow my dreams this year. That is what made me wake up early this morning and wrote this poem of my life.' I hope and pray that it will inspire somebody and change lives. Doris Phy-Williams God's Battle Axe
when i was little i would (and still am) read and write poetry and short story. through time i learned to put my thoughts and feelings into poetry and tell stories of my life through poetry. I am a poet that has been through the same feelings and difficulties as other people. And try to shine beauty on everyone. I love writing my poetry and see that people enjoy them.
These poems are truly "Lines out of my Reality". I love to write about thing i come to realize going through life and living in the situations, like moving on and not hold on to grudges. I also like to write poetry that lets tells people express themselves in what ever way they want. I love art, and poetry equally and i tie them to get together well, their both beautiful ways i am able to express my self and all i want to do is share what i have i realize with the rest of the word without it being a do this do that step by step way of life. My way is more like realizing life, and sharing my learning through poetry. Give me time in the middle of still uploading a whole bunch of stuff :)
I've been told that I'm a book of contradictions. I'll start with the basic stuff: I'm 23 years old. I have 3 siblings: one sister and two brothers. I was born in Savannah, GA and raised in the state of GA. After graduating from Gilmer High School, I went through a period of emotional tragedy that led me to the cross of Jesus Christ. At this point in my life, I realized that all of my sins had caused Him to pay the price that I should have paid. Upon this realization, I fell to my knees and repented with all of my heart (the best way I knew how to, anyways). When this occurred, Jesus set me free. He set me free from my sin, from my negativity, from my selfishness, from myself. He gave me love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and temperance by His Spirit, the Comforter of God's children. He wrote my name in heaven, and He gave me His Word to guide me until the day I get there. Praise be to God for this wonderful gift! So, as you may have guessed, I am completely dedicated to the cause of Christ. Nobody, nothing will detour me from serving my God. Although I may stumble and fail time and time again, I keep getting back up and pushing onward for Jesus. In the end, He is the only One that matters, anyways; everything else in life is ultimately meaningless without God! They say that I have a very eccentric personality; I would concur. I have my "extremes", I suppose. I can be very hyper and energetic with my friends (to the point to where I annoy them), and I can also be very quiet and to myself. It just depends on what mood I am in, really. Overall, I'm an introverted extrovert. Although I enjoy conversing with people, I prefer to stay within myself and to think about the deep things of life. And by deep things, I don't mean just academic stuff; rather, I mean the things that really matter. The things that we will carry with us into eternity. The things that God cares about are the things that we should care about, for God is good, and His Word is good, too. Whatever His Scriptures state is true; that is what we should cling to, for His truth is the ultimate source of truth that we have. Without it, we are ultimately doomed to wander in the darkness of this world. It is a light to the lost sinner and a source of comfort to the redeemed. Praise God for it! I think very abstractly.... that's just one of my personality quirks. I think in angles that most people don't think in. I am also a people watcher; I enjoy sitting back and observing people in the midst of conversation. I'm always wondering what's going through someone's head and why they are thinking that way. I guess I'm just one of those kind of thinkers. My hobbies are simple. I enjoy reading the classics (To Kill a Mockingbird, A Pilgrim's Progress, etc.). I enjoy thinking about stuff. My most joyous past time, however, relates to music. I have a jukebox for a brain, so I always think in terms of numbers and music (math and music go hand in hand for some reason. I enjoy both!). I have been playing guitar for over eight years, and I continue to do so with the utmost joy! I write my own music and apply it to God's Kingdom. Everything you see on here will reflect the goodness of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May it honor and glorify Him!
Im a down to earth person poetry is my life im sweet caring and all that is good but still not perfect i love seeing other peoples poems that express themselves the same way i do. I have a good life wont say the best but i still live it and believe in life going on im very inspired with music i love it its my escape. My poems are what describes me and how i see life and it should help people because things that i write are completely true and we live life that way and poems are words of encouragement that should help with a few good words that get to ones heart to help them believe in it.

Like the water that returns at the sea I come today to beg for another chance To write what I forgot to write once. Like the water that returns at the sea I come today to confess you. That i cannot find my wounded soul So i can find another reason for living To be again and for always The pen and the paper For always by your side.
