I am a believing and practicing Christian. I study God's word daily. I write Christian poetry but I also write on other topics. My poems are very simple. I don't use fancy or big words so this may be disappointing to some. I love the old Classic Poets like Sara Teasdale, Robert Louis Stevenson, and a whole host of others. I love all kinds of music from hard rock to classical. I'd like to share a few quotes, sorry I do not have all the names of the authors; Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option” “A woman often thinks she regrets the lover, when she only regrets the love” By Francois de la Rochefoucauld “One of the hardest things in life is watching the person you love, love someone else.” “The one that seems to love the least, has the most control, in a relationship” “I love walking in the rain, 'cause then no-one knows I'm crying.” “Until this moment, I never understood how hard it was to lose something you never had.” “Being hurt by someone you truly care about leaves a hole in you heart that only love can fill.” “The love that lasts the longest is the love that is never returned.” "I dropped a tear in the ocean, and when you find it, that is when I will stop loving you. A few Quotes from Me, Debra A man should always, say what he means, and mean what he says, because, this is his signature. The more people you have in your life, the more problems, there will be to endure. Smart is a woman who guards her heart. Foolish is a woman, who lets a man, tare her heart apart. © Debra
My name is Amber, I have three beautiful children who never seize to inspire me . I have been writing poetry from the age of 14 until now , and I consider it to be a tremendous release . I recently joined "The Greater Cleveland's Writer's Group" , I look forward to gaining as much insight and inspiration as I can from fellow writers My oldest daughter (Tabitha) is deaf , Through her I have learned so much , I went to College to obtain an Associates degree in American Sign Language, which I am fluent in , something I thought I would never be able to do , through my daughter , I have learned there are no limitations on what we can accomplish as an individual or together , the only limitations are the ones we set for ourselves , and fear will only hold you back , "It only takes 20 seconds of courage and I promise ,something great will happen"- We bought A Zoo (one of our favorite movies) .
My name is Kailey Nicolaou (Titanium-Heart), my friends call me Kailz or Elly. My work is about my life struggles that have occurred and about faith, hope, depression etc. I have been writing poems, novels and songs since I was young to express my feelings, darkest and lightest thoughts. A lot of my poems are about my daughter Summer Rose Nicolaou who died on 18th December 2008, this was one of my darkest times that I have ever had. I do not speak to many people about my issues, so poetry is my release. I truly hope you enjoy my poetry and follow me for more of my poems, if you do follow me, I will defiantly take the time to look at your work and follow your page as well. Thank you.
I have a desire. A desire to fix my life while at the same time fixing others. I'm a wanna-be poet from Kansas City, and I'm still very young. I want to continue to stretch my mind and continue to gain skills at writing. My poetry is mainly about my life and how I cope through, in hopes that I'll help someone else. I prefer deep emotional poetry, such as Edgar Allen Poe, or the best of Shakespeare, I also love Donte. Poetry is an amazing art, and I will always try to be better.
My first memories of writing begin in elementary school when one teacher assigned our class to write a story. He made some very encouraging comments and a writer was born. I have stacks of poems and songs collected over the years. I recently began blogging and found this site and am happy to share some of my work here. I hope you will let me know when you are inspired or touched by what I share with you. You, my readers, inspire me.
Grew up on a little gem in the Caribbean, a tourist attraction the eyes never misses. There I had my education, primary through college. Life has always been a challenge but with God I keep climbing, and my dreams are slowing becoming. Writer, teacher, website owner of https://www.livingtoreachacme.com/ and more. Always loved poetry. I dreamed of poetry, tried but never thought I was good enough. Today, I am here, I stand only by the Grace of God. He is just so awesome!!!!
I was Discovered in the basement of "Jeff Davis Hospital" nearly dead from over stuffing my frame with "Rat Milk" rescued by two "Scottish Strippers" whom earned there living at "Natchez Under the Hill" Both parents, Tried to teach me as I grew older to escape any Mental obstacle, I never paid attention, I just kept craving "Beutiful Breast Milk" that stared at me each morning as I laid hopelessly in the middle of my mother and mother, with a "Old Clothe Diaper" constructed from Dollar bills that were stuffed in the "Oversized Bra's" of both of my parents the "Night before" Just kidding, Everything's true, Except for the two female parents, the "Money Constructed Diaper" and the "Rats Milk"........ It was a "Cat" My goal is to truly "Capture the Art of Writing" I'm not the Best, And I'll never Claim to be! I just want to join and mingle, With my "Fellow Poets" Dream, Write, And always Remember, That Your "Right" and I'm "Left" Handed
i spent my early life in St Louis but learned about life in Califoria during the 70's. although i have grown up and joined the real world, my poetry reflects that girl in Venice when life held so much promise and magic....and i still believed the in the hopes of the 60s, mixed with the cynicism that came when the age turned wrong...
Poetry allows me to say all of the things that are in my heart and mind that I cannot express verbally. I feel most at home when I am in my notebook just writing what I feel. It is the most free I will ever be. We live in a world of constant rejection and criticism, so it's nice to be able to contribute something beautiful to world that is in desperate need of it.
I would like to share some poetry of mine with those who will find it interesting. Nothing sophisticated just thoughts that comes once in a while from my so called subconscious... I guess. Moreover, you will most likely will find grammatical errors in all my lines since English is my second language, but I'm working on my grammar really hard, so please cut me a slack.
