Hello Poeticous! I am a published author (yay, I did it) and published my first book of poetry this past month (April 2013). It is titled, Woman Steps In Poetry and Prose, and is available on Amazon. To make ends meet, I am a freelance copywriter. I write poems, and fiction, that cater to women. My aim is to make readers laugh, heal, or feel empowered. I aspire to receive an MFA in the near future with a concentration in poetry and screenwriting. I am currently fast at work on a YA novelette and my next poetry collection. I hope to discover new poetic voices on Poeticous!

My name is Delcaudo Pedro Beauvoir, but most of my friends call me Pedro, writing poetry, poems sonnets,is something always wanted to do,when i first realize how great I was.I hope that I can make a great impact in the other great poets out there, who truly love the art of writing as much as do.I am a very respectfully person, who gives everything value and appreciation to others for there hard work. I like to hangout with my friends, but most of all I like to write music also, and am also learning how to play music, as of right now am learning the soprano sax . I think music shares lots of common principles, when you are writing a poems, are any kinds of creative writing of your choice.
I was born in Edinburgh in 1948 and lived there until I was 24. My parents' rented " house" was a downstairs flat in a tenement which was built around 1690 and is now a Grade 2 listed building. When I lived there, it was a Grade 10 unlisted slum. My father was a grocer by trade and my mother cleaned richer people's houses for a living. They were loving and caring parents and I had a happy childhood. I married in 1968 and my wife, my son and myself moved to Huntingdon four years later, so I have spent two-thirds of my life in England. My second son was born in 1974. I qualified as an accountant in 1976 and spent over twenty years counting beans in various guises. In 1993, bored rigid by the work, I left the profession to set up a framing and picture gallery in a village near Huntingdon which I sold on as a going-concern ten years later, retiring in 2003. Since then I have been enjoying life, but doing very little that could be considered creative. When I turned 70 last year, for better or worse, I took to writing poetry.

A lover of language, a philologist I'm told, I have taught composition and creative writing for over thirty years at the colleges and high schools of Southern California. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I grew up in the suburban half hardship half luxury life that allowed me escape and salvation in books. If I have done anything well in my days, it is that I have fostered the same love in my two teenaged daughters. Healthy and productive in Huntington Beach, land of surf and sea, I live with my two daughters, husband of 35 years, two cats and dog. I consider myself, above all, a reader erotically seduced by the texture, flavor and scent of words. I try to give back that same pleasure I receive from language through play. Peace, Pam
A man who loves people. A man who love writting things from my mind but It comes like a vision then I note it down Also things around me. I am a man who is really stressed with different lot of things including family things an relationship. And I am just a poor young man. But sometimes I dream of being famous in the world not about doing it to get rich but to let other people know how others live an facing challenges. How life treats people sometimes...
" Last breath twisting of my lungs, last time in my eyelid her shadow pinched,a long delay in my heart beat will prove me as I'm no longer, she will far across Nile river collecting rubies and I will near Ganges river with melody of death" ........................................................................................................................................................... I am walking on a road which ll go in a world wherr there ll be full of peace and light. There i ll sit under a tree which ll be covered by green grasses and flowers smelling a specific smell. No one ll be there to bother me with my work. Me and my poem forever with a happy ending.

Most of my writing is spontaneous, written in my free time when I feel inspired. I write both English and Spanish poems. Feel free to leave any feedback, both positive and/or negative. I try to change my styles, some are short deep poems, others are stories. Occasionally I write some that are for recitals where you can feel the emotion as I read them aloud. I hope you enjoy my pieces.

I am 27 years old . I've been debating what I want to do as a career choice and along the way I found poetry to be a great way for me to write down how I truly feel. Sometimes when I really feel what's going on and it affects me I'll have it in my thoughts and sometimes it may not rhyme and other times the words will jus come to me . So after years of searching what I want to do I am now going to school to be a Vet Tech and right now I am off to a new beginning . My dad passed away last summer and shorty after that I ended a five year relationship with my first true love . It's been a long journey for me to actually come this far but I feel as if it's a new road and a positive outlook on the wonders to come .
I was once known as Micky, but my name was changed to Brian. I had the youth of Peter Pan mixed with Huck Fin ,, a former Marine .. world traveler - I lived in Kenya E. Africa for 14 years .. trekked over India .. was married for 30 years .. now divorced .. father of four .. grandfather of 5 .. Okay .. I could say more, but that's enough. I like to write poetry on occasion.
I began writing short stories and poems as a teenager, but until recently I began to develop my skill as an adult. I like to let the details form the picture in the readers mind to take them to the place or event that I am constructing. My poems focus more on the interaction between man and woman and personal introspection.

Almost all of the poems he posts onto this blog are taken out of his poetry book. The book contains over 500 poems written by Mensur over the last two to three years. Mensur’s works are quite diverse, though he does like to write frequently about love, romance, and his past relationships. Aside from that he also tries to produce more spiritual and emotionally-driven pieces of writing that tend to have some correlation to his life experiences.
