I think of myself as a poem. Poems and I are much similar. When i write , I draw out a picture, any picture that comes to mind. After drawing the picture i title it. Then i study the image that I have drawn. This is what brings back memories , or what we like to call it "Flash backs". My poems are a mixture of my & what i have seen. its kinda like i write peoples autobiography for them. Plus i'm sort of good at reading people. Enjoy my poems. I hope at least 1 out of 5 can relate. ~Terena.M~
Hello my name is Abby! I'm a very interesting person. Apparently I have a lot of energy to where I make a pot of coffee nervous. I'm very artistic and outgoing. I love CATS absolutely and I recently just got married to my best friend and it's been wonderful! I'm hoping to see the world one day. Great thing is my husband is in the US Airforce. Poetry has been great therapy to me during the good times and the bad times. My strongest points in poetry is actually during the bad times. Although those moments were the strongest moments in my life. It simply was easier for words to flow out of my pen. Poetry is beautiful and I just love the symbolism and words people use to describe events, feelings, or things. I'm just glad to be a part of it and to use my creativity. I hope that you enjoy reading my poetry just as much as I've enjoyed writing them!
I'm 17 years old. I lost my mother to stage 4 breast cancer almost 3 years ago in June 2011. I started writing poetry in freshman year, after I got an assignment to write a Shakespearean sonnet. I got high praise, so I decided to write more. Not all of my poems rhyme and some are still in the process of being checked over and revised. I love poetry because it is an outlet for me and helps me convey how I feel through my words when I can't show it through emotions. I hope that you will enjoy my work and I will check out yours. Thanks. :)
I'm an artistic person, I love to make people laugh. I am always thinking of what I can create next. I am excited about learning new things. I believe in positive living and am always smiling. I love to help others, I like to be the caregiver to my loved ones. I like baking and love to eat and I don't believe in dieting. I am a runner and a beginner triathlete. I like to read and love to go to the movies, mainly to eat popcorn. Ha ha! I love pancakes of any kind! I like abstract art and enjoy traveling. My dream is to go to Scotland some day and travel to many tropical places, like Hawaii.
My name is Kamu, but names only stay important in the physical world. I am a writer, a poet, a photographer, and an artist. I am a person in this world, that just wants to contribute to all the creative energy in this world. Hoping that my poems will inspire and positively affect people, to let them wander into the deeper side of their life, to pull out the words from their thoughts, and creatively place them into reality. In my journey through life, I am constantly being awakened into someone else's imagination, and I share my thoughts and reflect upon theirs, being inspired to write from ideas that we have all put out together, sharing the images and emotions that come from our complex human minds. To me, questions are the most important thing of all. The art of questioning all and having theories and trying to fill out the unknown seems to be one of my greatest fascinations. I love thinking about things that stay a mystery in this world. It is what inspires me to write. Writing is a way for me to express in a way that is unavailable in any other form of art, or on a greater scale, life. I hope you enjoy what I am trying to express, and I hope to be inspired by your creativity as well. Thank you.
A summary of my life? Gosh, that's a bit personal, don't you think? I'll just tell you how I got into writing. I was about 11. It started out with writing a poem to my brother's dad after he, once again, betrayed our trust. Won't go into that. I wasn't very good, I mean the poem was good and it meant a lot to me but I always had a lot of trouble with punctuation and spelling and all kinds of things, so I had a lot of mistakes. But after that, I started writing fanfiction for Twilight and Castle, along with bits and pieces of things here and there, I wish I'd kept the stories I wrote, they were really good and I was proud of them but I didn't, otherwise I would send you to take a gander. Anyway, it eventually became very obvious that I couldn't keep a story going for more than a couple of chapters without losing interest and falling miserably into the pit of writer's block. However, poetry was easy for me to follow through wih, didn't have to follow any chronological order, and I could write it in short bursts as the inspiration came to me. Slowly, the short bursts turned into days, and then weeks, and months and eventually I landed here, where my sole thought and purpose revolves around poetry. It's gotten to a point that if I couldn't write, I would probably jump off a bridge. It is literally the reason that I am alive today, it save d my life and got me through some of the hardest times in my life.
a mature lady of 57 that is enjoying time to do what she really loves. I love to paint, to grow roses, and to write. I adore my two grand daughters, and my children. The time is short, and every day I get to be here is a blessing. The god of love and righteousness is my hope. Worked as an RN for many years, interested in healing physical and spiritual. Hope to finish a manuscript soon and get it published.
