I have always been sincerely passionate for writing. Nothing quite beats a great word or metaphor. Poetry has become my escape in all situations, merely because I find it to be an outer body experience in which I cannot explain. I just recently began sharing my poetry because I felt that certain pieces of my work could help someone get through a tough time, or simply put them at ease and make them realize life is short and beautiful. At age 25, I am now devoting all the time and energy it takes to release my writing to all who appreciate it, and can grow from it. Writing is my passion, my hunger and my thirst and it can move me in a way I never thought possible.
I am a very passionate winsome lad,my name is Vusumzi Mathews Sono born in the year of 1989 the 28th of December and I was born here in South Africa at a place called Cape Town,grew up in Eastern Cape.Vusi is a nickname coming from my full name Vusumzi and Oulik is just a nickname given by friends it is a Afrikaans name and it means "cute" .I never knew that one day I would be enthusiastic about poetry,but I loved writting since primary school,but then we used to just write songs that didn't even make sense but because I've never had an easy life as a child so I took out my emotions on writing as I was writing I noticed that everything I wrote was just poetic even at school when we were suppose to do orals,presentations or just anything I ended up flowing poetically,then that is when I found my first love "POETRY" inspired by roman ancient movies and some of Celine Dion's songs e.g the titanic song.
I was born in Alabama. Lived the first 9 years of my life in Florida, but then moved back to Alabama after my grandmother passed away to live in her house. I've been here ever since and I absolutely love it. I am married to a wonderful man who is my best friend. I'm surrounded by my family and friends and beautiful nature. I am a follower of Christ. I've always loved to write. When I was little, I would write my parents little notes and slide them underneath the door of whatever room they were in. I just loved to touch people through my words. Verbally and on paper. When I became a teenager, I started to write random poetry for fun, but also for school. I realized that it wasn't homework for me to write, it was a joy. My poetry streak really took off at the age of 15. Now, having recently turned 30, I have been through a lot in the past decade and have not written as much as i used to. Ups and downs, highs and lows, defeats and victories...you name it. I've felt a lot of different emotions and thought many thoughts. And I've composed quite a few poems and written many songs through it all. So, this is my place to share them with the world, to touch others through my words. I hope they mean something to you. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nthikeng Daniel Madileng was born in 1992 march 18th at Regae, vandermerweskraal in the Limpopo province. He was raised by his single mother and a grandmother under a strictly traditional and a Christian circle. Nthikeng is the first born of Selies Madileng, and a third born of Johannes Rapetsoa. His father had two daughters just before Nthikeng was born. Due to family problems, Nthikeng had to grow under the support of his late grandmother Sophie who was a pensioner and a grandmother to eleven children. As a brother Nthikeng chose school over all of the opportunities of life, he went to Regae primary school at the age of 6 until the age of 12. At the age of 13 until the age of 17 he was in high school where he passed with a bachelor NSC certificate under the science stream. At the age of 18 Nthikeng went to the University of Pretoria where he studied Chemical engineering extended curriculum. He then relocated to Polokwane where he continued with his studies. Writing He started writing at age ten and spent many years learning under Majatladi High school and Tshwane university of Technology drama and entertainment programs. His writing and poetry have been featured in many exhibitions and festivals around Limpopo and Gauteng province, where he was awarded Best poet of the Show. He has exhibited his work in high school events, university events such as fresher’s ball and YFE programme, political events, and cultural centers throughout Limpopo and Gauteng province. In his work Nthikeng often uses real life ideas combined with emotional poetry techniques. Nthikeng is currently extending his knowledge by teaching young passionate kids to express their feelings through the language of poetry. He continues to explore new ways to share his mind and the background of his life.

I have been through a whole lot more than the average 19 year old. I am motivated by being constantly called not good enough. I am a lover not a fighter. I write poems to vent and to release stress that I constantly hold in. Just like everyone else, I just wanna be happy and successful. I am going to be successful!

I'm a South African girl who loves music, poetry & singing. Art is a way of expressing myself in a way that simple words can not describe. Music & Singing has always been my life since it is my get away when I'm not feeling like myself. Music to me is my inspiration and it is what drives me to do what I love to do the most. I'm just a normal girl, living in a complicated world. Behind my smiles, there is something deeper than what you see.. There is something deeper than this façade.
I'm poet who mostly likes to write about the expirience I had growing up. And I'm wishing to overcome my challenges during my teen years. I had family problems growing up and I couldn't tell anyone about my pain. That's when I met my two best friends Pen & Paper. Now I'm not just a writer I performe too. It's been tough.... I found out my way of venting was through writing at 11 years old. I've always been the outcast, black sheep.. Never fit it but I've always made it work. I'm the strongest person I know. I take after my mother... Writing is my passion, despite all the hard times and all I ever gave up on, writing and my 35 journal is all I've carried. I love it and I will never give up on it. All I ever written is the silence of my soul.
I have only written poems for a little over two years. I met a wonderful man, who's love inspired me. I am sure I do not follow the poetry rules, however I get so much enjoying, writing down the words in my head. All of my poems have true meaning and relate to current events in my life. Feel free to Critique my writings, as I am still learning!
Im a down to earth person poetry is my life im sweet caring and all that is good but still not perfect i love seeing other peoples poems that express themselves the same way i do. I have a good life wont say the best but i still live it and believe in life going on im very inspired with music i love it its my escape. My poems are what describes me and how i see life and it should help people because things that i write are completely true and we live life that way and poems are words of encouragement that should help with a few good words that get to ones heart to help them believe in it.
