For anyone grieving a loss

We love and we laugh
On this earthly voyage,
Circling around the sun
For an unknown period of time.
 
The only thing we truly know
About this journey
Is that someday
It comes to an end,
Whether we want it to or not.
 
When that day finally arrives
And our terrestrial adventure
Reaches its conclusion,
May we find comfort
In the knowledge that
Good people joined us
Along the way.

I wrote this upon the death of my Uncle Charlie in the summer of 2021. I hope it brings comfort to others in a similar time of loss.
