Survival Mode
With snow in California’s mountains
and trees falling down from the sky
climate change is the new normal
and we don’t need to wonder about why.
The planet is tired of our bullshit
and is making its displeasure plain.
For decades we’ve ignored all the warnings
and now we’re going to feel pain
Of powerful storms in the summer
and the raging wildfires that burn.
Many places have already suffered
and soon it will be others’ turn.
Our seas and temperatures are rising
as polar ice caps continue to melt.
Whether on land, air, or water
Terrible impacts are sure to be felt.
Can we do anything to reverse this?
Or is it already too late?
One thing we know is for certain:
The power of Nature is great.
