A Terminating Love
Why did this abomination have to exist?
Why out of all times, did I find myself suffering?
From an unreciprocated love and a malignant tumor?
My best friend and the woman, who I see as my soul mate,
Are suffering because of me.
My love may be within my reach, but I cannot control her heart.
She loves my best friend, in return he loves her
After an incident, with me losing consciousness,
My best friend was stranded at sea on a yacht with her
After witnessing a scene with the two of them kissing, I desperately searched for them.
Afraid that their disappearance was linked from that particular scene.
I collapsed and was shortly admitted into the hospital.
My mother and best friend was confronted by the doctor stating,
“ He has a malignant brain tumor; which is the cause of his frequent headaches and fainting”
As I awoke from my diagnosis, I see my best friend.
I was overcome by anger lashing out on why he was alone
With the person I love with all my being.
He told me that my beloved loves me, and he tried to steal her from me.
After being aware I was dying,
I assume he wanted to grant me happiness before I depart from this world.
My beloved must have done the same for my sake.
In the end, they sacrificed their love for each other,
To the point where they suppressed it the best they could for my sake.
But as time went on, the doctor told me I have less than 6 months to live.
Seeing how my love treats me so well, I wanted her to see the extent of my affection.
In the past, I always thought that your kindness and compassion
Has always been your attractive features and thought you
As the cutest being to enter my life
I would hope you would feel the same way I did,
Even though now, I can see the love blossom between her and my best friend,
Is painful, I have to accept it.
After knowing I was dying, you and my best friend tried so hard to avoid each other
In case I would be suspicious.
But no more! I have decided this on my own will,
For the satisfaction of both me and my friend I pledge this,
“I may not have much time left, but I am determined to make the two of you happy.
Even if it means slashing my undying love I have for her
That is meant for someone else, that being
My best friend.”
