Fandango

A Surreal Verse

Confused my mind in a circle runs,
The time to come is yet undone.
With nervous brow to take the crop,
Of thoughts that might one day come.

To pass a point, engage this place.
Upon a hill in far off view,
Pillars stand; ruins of another time.
The lake is deep, does a truth in dark water lie?

Triumphant sounds from glass reflections,
A discord into being struts,
Another universe proceeds before me
What side of which line is right?

Even then this ‘place’ remembered,
Every moment turns, to appear in another time,
Farther than my mind can reach,
There ‘is’ an edge, what then lies beyond this line?

Images race and empires fall,
But keys do not unlock these doors.
Life itself drops out of place,
In ways we dare not face

The light of fission breaks the dark,
Most violent forms and life’s result.
But this ‘beginning’ brings a mystery,
and we dance a long fandango.

Another Surreal Verse, this one written in 2006, where this came from I can only guess
My mind must have been dislodged, but there are interesting aspects within it, what do you think?
