Fine Silver World

Our foundation upon this silver world
Where life has but one accord
Is to stay within the bounds of love
That not a day must come to be ignored

This world where upon your light does shine
As we drift alone on our given path
Perhaps we shall pass on another road
And hear it said, “All is well”

Do not believe what is on the page
(This message is profound)
Take heed your soul within
And arm yourself with love

Imagine the light of a golden sky
And the vision that we saw
Can we go alone you say?
Can we not leave it for another day?

Before us the ruins of previous times
The offered wine that we must pass
See within those eyes a dreadful stare
Take not a step into that lair

See the silver light from far off stars
Fall upon this fine silver world
See the coldness of that unreachable place
And without love it is just empty space

(2008)

This is about trust, conflict, loss, hope, desire, temptation and emptiness, but most of all is about love, the anchor we all of us must hold onto.
