The river

Still waters

Still waters of the stream
Row in my boat in the river
Tay.
Upon the swans of the lake
Come up to side of the boat
None to speak or we might
Have a leek.
Plug it up before we seek
Upon we softly try to speak
Ah..turn thy head thy said
The river is at its badly peak

I thee punt up my  lost years
For this the water we all have
To fear,
To drown down the river takes
All but another  year .

To thee I wander with thy brain
Sinking down with the bloody rain
To this I strain rest my heart and
Soul .please let me grow old and grey
As a I like to travel the world again

With still waters the river is flowing
Yet again
Silent thy sleep to fall in big heep
To row my boat and dream of sheep
And to leave  the world to say goodnight
For the rivers of the deep it was a great
To swim in the still waters of the misty
Deep.

Idea from three men in a boat down the
river
