Anxious Days Ahead
Life is a turbulence within the calm,
a sea divided,
a one sided comfort,
a one sided trial,
a philosophy to combine the two,
one half life sought, the other endured,
a dread up ahead,
a knowing life’s requirement,
despair among the ecstasy,
uneasiness among the smoothness,
a mixture of the elements,
a whole life lived to nurture the soul,
a spirit ingrained to fight the battles,
a preparation for the days ahead,
a willingness to endure the operation,
a new spirit to weather the pain,
a knowing of the easement that follows,
an understanding of the protocol,
a smooth sailing into the future,
a trust in the healing process,
a trust in God’s mercy,
a new outlook on life,
a remedial nourishment for the soul.
I'm psyching myself up for my pace maker implantation on Dec 29th.
