Beautification

The beautification of an angel
Of unassuming substantial beauty,
A spirit made into flesh and bones,
Fallen to the earth from the heavens,
Sitting beside the waters in her silken skin,
Adapting to earthly primal rituals,
Adorning herself with earthly creams,
Cream upon silk,
Upon the smoothness in place,
Adding more beauty to beauty,
More vanity to vanity,
Sitting still with an alluring smile,
A silent voice above the roar of the tiger,
Or the piercing voice of the macaw,
Calling to the beast for the taming,
Exercising power to exceed all power,
The feminine mystique in full bloom,
A rose garden drifting in the quiet ether,
A perfume to awaken the slumbering giants,
The invisible ones that hold up the sun,
The ones who follow the scent
Into the thickest jungles without a guide,
That succumb to the power of a smile,
The engine that moves the immovable,
The alluring kind with iron handles
And perfumed grips,
The angel with a beauty of her own,
Who walks among us
With her trailing fragrance that
Stays with us as we taste the sunset
And go to sleep as she
Hovers over our bed and
Blows kisses in our dreams.
