Caught Up

Caught Up

Of quiet lullabies I do thee sing
Peace on earth from the heavens bring
Whispering sounds from gentle lips
Like fairies dancing to a lunar eclipse

Behold a stirring from the northern skies
Of building rage with serenity’s demise
Coming towards me with its rousing speech
My life of nothing to thee I bequeath

Caught up in its rage my adrenalin surges
Through spirited channels with festive urges
Pleasure takes me to strange exotic places
A new passion is born unto zealous faces

Who says contentment lies in nothing at all?
When peace dreams of a contentious brawl
Who can stop the adrenalin from flowing?
Of pleasure from its instinctive showing?
Who can stop the natural world
From being a natural world?
