Mother's Tears

Mother’s Tears

Little boy, don’t you cry
Mother will kiss away the pain
The angels will speak through her
With a lullaby, the most beautiful
Soothing sound there is

Your sorrow empties into her soul
As she sheds a tear for her little boy,
Connected in the spirit, and sheltered
By her constant vigilance

After you leave the nest someday,
If she could cushion your path
Before you, she would, but she can’t
Your only consolation are her prayers
