The song of the bagpipes cuts through the air,
over the moors and hills with an Irish flair,
songs of the battles and songs of romance,
songs that make me get up and dance.
 
How can I deny that music does things to me,
how it lifts me up and sets me free,
how the pipes resonate through my being
as I think of my Sweet Molly in the early Spring?
