The Autumn of Desire
As the course of love churns ahead
and the feet feel the ground again
and the weights and measures resurface
as the new life comes back to the old life,
reality wraps its arms
around the air of oblivion created
by the losing of the mind and self
from the hypnotic wand of love,
when the flame that lights up the inner
domain of the heart starts to flicker
and the feet now feel the cold ground
that was left behind when the
lovers floated up into spaces beyond,
their new paradise where desire
controlled every organ of their bodies,
sends them back down to keep pace
with love’s divine progression.
Love is now in the autumn of desire
where the divine love of
obligation starts to settle in
until the last breath of life.
