The Maternal Link
God’s grace settled into mothers’ being
deep within her heart and so without seeing.
From ancint truths they became part of her
as they breathed the spirit into her character.
From her we learn what God is like
and for us to know and see the light.
From her comes a Sunday morning sermon
and every day hence since time begun.
She’s our maternal link between God and us,
spreading his wisdom from dawn 'til dusk.
