Verbal Eyes
Verbal eyes, emissaries of the truth,
sagacious couriers with fleeted foot,
dedicated to the
spontaneous transfer of truth,
the looking deep inside the heart
and bringing it out into the open,
bypassing all outside influences,
keeping it pure and authentic,
sacred, revealing, unspoiled,
the good and bad unchanged,
the happy and sad unmixed,
staying in their own abodes,
the direct passing of their moods
so deeply entrenched in truth,
of divine obedience employed,
of freedom merited
and bondage made complacent,
the easy substitution of truth,
eyes following the rules of truth,
enemies of deceptive minds,
disclosing their intentions,
sometimes hard to read
but always there saying what
the words are supposed to say.
