The Blazing Sun

He rides atop his charriot, bringing the sun to rise and fall
He leads his steeds threw the green pastures and fields
They feel his conviction, his love, his will of steel
Many names abound with him
Phobus Apollo, Helios are two examples yet still
The god or gods perhaps in this case
Has a place forever in the sky
To remain the lightbringer and downcaster of foes
To raise hope of the young and in the in firm old
Infirmities bolden the god to feats unparreleled
What would Ra believe should the Father of Egypt see?
A deity roming the skies doing the same as he?

(2015)

Obviously this was a spur of the moment type of thing. And not everything is going to make sense perhaps. I have found that poems (My best ones) are best written out like this. Its about the Greek sun god Apollo (or in this instance Phobus Apollo) because I love righting about them.
