finding strength
The sun goes down and the moon comes up I feel alive.
This is my time, watch me thrive.
No matter what life throws, in this time I will survive.
Into the unknown, head first I will dive.
In the light I’m blind but the darkness I befriend.
If you can’t see me why pretend.
My fears and worries I start to suspend.
It’s at this time my mind can transcend.
Not everything will go as you plan.
I’ve had times away from them I ran.
Now a lone warrior who has no clan.
No matter cause I still know I can.
Demons may come nipping at my ankle.
My emotions inside me rankle.
I’ve learnt I’m stronger so them I strangle.
I know of what’s to come this is just a sample.
The evils from my past I still hear them call.
They made me feel small but now I’m standing tall.
I catch myself whenever I fall.
I refuse to always keep my back to the wall.
