Salmon
Some like to live life easy but that’s no fun.
I like a change so I jump from water into sun.
I learned to fight to survive before I got to one.
If I could have skipped any challenge I’d say no none.
I have no fear even from bears I refuse to run.
I’ll have many children but how many survive. Maybe 3 or two.... One.
I like to be different so I swim upstream.
Back to a place so distant it feels a dream.
I want adventure and so I scheme.
I change my colour to be extreme.
This adventures cost is death but the success is supreme.
No food on the journey I run off my own steam.
I am a salmon.
Destined to die in famine.
