A PLEDGE

A PLEDGE

In shadows deep, where tears do flow,
I’ll cease my weeping, let you know,
To console your heart, I’ll strive anew,
And dry my tears, to heal what’s true.

I’ll linger here, right by your side,
If in your heart, you’ll let me bide,
For in your presence, I find my grace,
A sanctuary, a cherished space.

Within your memory, I long to dwell,
A timeless story, only time will tell,
May you never forget the love we share,
In the tapestry of life, we’re a pair.

My love, I offer, like a gentle breeze,
To soothe your soul, put your heart at ease,
Not to hurt you, but to bring delight,
A flame that burns with a soft, warm light.

For love’s a gift we freely exchange,
A dance of hearts, in harmony arranged,
In this sacred bond, our spirits tie,
With every passing day, we’ll learn to fly.

Like flowers that bloom, in fragrant array,
Not to be crushed by mortal’s sway,
And the moon above, in the darkest night,
Sheds its gentle light, a guiding light.

In a world without the sun’s embrace,
We find our way, in love’s warm space,
To dispel the darkness, we’ll find a way,
In each other’s arms, we’ll always stay.
