TRUE LOVE

On this gravel road, we trod alone,
Beside the brook where secrets are sown,
Narrow streets and dust conceal our trace,
Invisible footprints in this hidden place.

Upon the foam in the babbling brook’s embrace,
Our tale unfolds, leaving not a single trace,
Sun, moon, and brook, our silent confidants true,
Witnessed our whispers, our love that grew.

Hand in hand, we walked, a silent serenade,
Yet the sun and the moon, in silence, stayed,
Tell me, my love, where do you roam,
Is the moon as beautiful in your far-off home?

When dark clouds gather, and raindrops fall,
Loneliness beckons, a familiar call,
But under your umbrella, you’ll find a guide,
Olden dreams will be your faithful side.

Don’t turn away, let memories reside,
Toss them gently into the brook’s gentle tide,
For though we part, our story’s still told,
In the whispers of the brook, in silver and gold.
