Parallel Intent
Tonight I awoke to an orange horizon sky;
one that I had never greeted before
It took me back, to the days of ceaseless motion
and disregard for the ticking of clocks
Part two:
Tomorrow I will awake to the same-colored
expanse of heavenly canvas
I can no longer recall that distant dream
of the ticking and talking of youth

I originally wrote the first few lines of this piece at least one year ago and decided to finish it with lines that responded directly to the originals. I also had a bit of fun with the spacing of this poem.
