I may ask the simple question
Your answer may be hard
I’m willing to take the chance
To break or free this simple heart
My simple mind is deeper than it leads to believe
My questions and words have more meaning than they seem
Don’t look into my eyes when I’m talking to you
The feelings may be stronger than you ever knew
My body is falling apart
So is my mind
Its wires are unraveling to show you my kind
My way of life isn’t what you think
The words I say aren’t always what I mean
I’m not begging for attention
I’m just screaming for help
Release me from these demons that try to drag me to hell
I’m a puppet whose strings have snapped
They’re trying so hard to take me back
But I’m not going
No, not this time
This time I’ll live the way that I call mine
I need some help
I need to be relieved
But I can’t do that
When nobody is as they seem
Don’t try to fix something that isn’t broken
You’ll only keep wasting away
If you want something to fix
Please, save me today
I’m in need of some assistance
I’m trapped in my failing heart  
Please don’t let them get me
Don’t let them pull me apart
There is good in me
There’s only things you cannot see
I’m not alone inside my head
I’m not alone inside this body
But as much as that sounds like a blessing
To not be alone
I’d rather not have someone else inside me
I’d rather just call this body my own
I’m not begging for attention
I’m just screaming for help
Release me from these demons that try to drag me to hell
I’m a puppet whose strings have snapped
They’re trying so hard to take me back
But I’m not going
No, not this time
This time I’ll live the way that I call mine
I need some help
I need to be relieved
But I can’t do that
When nobody is as they seem
I am a shell
This body is my trap
My mind is cluttered and my heart is my cast
It’s trying to heal but can’t when I’m still in danger
My eyes are filled with hateful anger
Don’t let it fool you
This isn’t just me
There’s something else inside
There’s someone else in here with me
