Something More Than Dreaming
I used to day dream all the time
Of dying
In place of someone else
Because maybe
Just maybe
If they were a bad person at the time
They might change for the better
They might give something a little more
Knowing someone actually gave them a chance to change
Someone who knew absolutely nothing about them
It put me to sleep
Made me feel like a better human being
Maybe this person will smile brighter
Laugh higher
Go home and hug their children, spouses
Donate all they have to charity
Become the person they were meant to be
Because of a simple gesture
Because I gave them something more
That is what my dream is
To die accomplishing something more
For someone undeserving
Because everyone deserves to live a beautiful life
