Home, My Home

If this all breaks down again
Will you fill my hour glass with sand

Of all the things I cannot stand
Mostly reflections of this broken man

Moments standing on their hands
Smiles turned frowns always damned

Can’t I just come back home

If the dust settles on the other side
Will the mirror put down it’s pride

Can I just take all this in stride
Instead of taking roads that hide

This serpent tongue that loves it’s lies
Always whispering my sweet demise

I just want to go back home

So close to taste, too far to see
The untruthful words to be believed

I Hold myself from being freed
All the times I’ve been self deceived

In my gutter I sit unrelieved
I burn what’s to love and it’s ash I breathe

Home, my home, please come back

All this time spent lost and never found
Some one stole you and tore you down

I walk these streets looking all around
And all I see can see are the memories drowned

I don’t know if I’ll hear your calling sound
This loss is like being barbed wired bound

Can’t I just come back home
Home, My home.
