Father Time Tickles My Fancy

Time can be funny sometimes,
Time can be a trickster,
Time can slip in and out of your mind,
Depending on your chemical mixture,
A fixture on the wall, tick tock goes the clock,
An occasional knock, a bump, a momentary stall in energy,
A momentary lapse of reason, repeating itself endlessly,
Processing relentlessly, the cost is the death of me,
But a quick tip and little slip into a zone would be the best for me,
The Eastern Standard now, rhythms of Life overflowing,
The masses knowing, Swiss watches and swatches tick,
The Pulse of Rhythm showing sights so quick,
Life happens fast so don’t be thick,
When a moment comes to pass, it’s a magic trick,
The seconds click by to minutes, hours and days,
Weeks, months, years, and decades,
Centuries and Millennia, Eras and Epochs,
Eons and superhuman pawns, comic book heroes and telepathic clocks,
In actuality the speed with which we meet our own ends,
Is something we should heed, as upon it we depend.
