MEMORIES

His life is almost over so he’s told
How dare they try to be so bold.

He’s seen it all, he has set the pace
He’s done it all, he has won the race.

He’s listened carefully to all the stories
Watched and waited for the glories.

He’s held a baby so tiny and fair,
He’s sat with an elder his wisdom to share.

His life is almost over so he’s told
But that can’t be, memories never grow old.
