divine embrace

She walked the raised concrete streets, built from the backs of someone whom she didn’t know. She walked the raised concrete streets, surrounded by creatures of origin. The rain cascaded, fogging and giving meaning to glasses, hiding a visual perspective... perhaps how the world was meant to be viewed. Creatures of origin on their soap boxes and those who had fallen off to find what “real” might mean.
Hands intertwined in fading couples, fingers touching interactions that were not. A flowering tree shed it’s dying petal beauty. Salvation for some, poison for those whom salvation had abandoned at the moment of their conception.
Divine expulsion. Divine embrace.
This, a fine line for anyone paying attention. A growl from the expanse of society deafened ears in such silence that strove to be heard. Time illuminated, time ultimately still, time moving quicker than the momentary ticking of an ageless clock.
