Share My Eye

Do you hear the storm? It’s calling, we
laugh in the face of disaster, shirk the enemy;
we share rapture, we share a shame.

Divides our minds, we play complete
to show our cracks off, and we are unique
unite the bridge, extend the spell, complete.

Share my eye
shepherd in white;
you pull the wool on me,
damn my eyes.

Lead through the storm
together, may we laugh once more;
the winds scream closer,
do we hesitate?

The skies go grey, the worst displayed;
a half-heart smile for the hurt they’ve made.
Life shouldn’t happen, not in this way.

No time for peace, the slumbering
sinner takes for granted they’ve been left to slay
the dreamer, in price of the dream.

Share my eye
shepherd in white;
you pull the wool on me,
damn my eyes.

Lead through the storm
together, may we laugh once more;
the winds scream closer,
do we hesitate?

Nightfall is all the proof I need that
maybe is what we’re clinging onto,
stubborn of the empires we’ve watched
crumble and fall.
Steal that step back from me;

Steal that step back from me.

We hold the statement, left of ruiners;
we feel the coarse tug on our skin.
In want of deliverance, tempting of temptress
Fate, that she mark us again.

Breathe now, for justice
wanting of relapse,
to the state of grace, we’re calling
our jury, to say what they have of us.

Share my eye
shepherd in white;
you pull the wool on me,
damn my eyes.

Lead through the storm
together, may we laugh once more;
the winds scream closer,
do we hesitate?

Share my eye, in peace for a time.
