Moon
I once promised to be by your side,
To never leave you alone within the night
You were my guiding light for the longest time,
And I relied upon you for my own sight
With this breaking grief, I stand desperately
Searching for you, my beautiful Moon
As I look upon this sky that I live under,
Stars dance across with elegance and beauty
Catching my eye once or twice
But I know tis not what I want to see
Even if I say it to be true, I know simply they are lies
As I write about this sky that I look upon,
I frantically search for you,
Hoping and wishing that you’d look for me too
But sadly I would never know
For I haven’t seen my Moon since then...
Even though we live under the same sky
