Sea of stars
Swimming in a sea of wonder
Waking to the crash of thunder
Running till the fear ceases
And light creases
Bending but never breaking
Thinking but never pondering
Seeking yet never finding
That for which my heart is needing
Drinking tainted wine
Hope to come in contact with the Devine
Climbing up a thorny vine
Yearning for what I’ll never find
Dreaming in my head
Afraid of the dead
Keeping vigil
Though always single
Waiting for the moment
I can smile & lament
For my heart is broken
By the token
Of generosity you bestowed upon me.
