Wisful Dreamers
Wading in a wake
of weary wanderers,
Wishing for some worthy purpose.
Writhing as others waken
from a mind-numbing worry ..
now knowing their worries were written about
wishful dreamers.
Within the wingspan of ten million angels,
winsome clouds withdraw to reveal
six billion children
whispering wistfully,
witnessing other’s gluttony in wealth and weapons,
weighing whether to weep for those lost souls
or to welcome the wasted welfare the wishful dreamers wanted.
