TUBUKA

Amid a lot of tension,
I saw you before you were born
in a dream;torso
draped in a white towel,
head popping out-a big one;
skin resembling your mothers’.
Next day I saw you in the hospital
in the real form–
to my surprise, the dream and the reality
were the same.
As days pass by,
we try to find out
how much your resemblance to  whom:
how much in the face to your father,
how much in the chin to your mother,
how much of what to your grand parents,
and all the remotely blood related.
Analogy of the body now
and of the mind later
shall continue, till you become a father.
