The weather in my mind

The window is shut but the wind blows in through the gap
                  —uninvited and with gusto
The curtains are drawn yet the sun seeps in through the cracks
                  —bright and obtrusive
The doors are locked closed yet the rain forces it’s way through the skirting
                  —unbearable and provocative

I am there in the corner alone, huddled and afraid,
The elements are closing in and all I can do is fade.
My hands clench deeper into to my skin, My eyes are tightly closed,
For I believe their is a reason behind this cloud so bold.
