Today I’ve chosen to be at peace,

the loudness of the world had shaken me.

Realizing that there is power in sound & silence.

But today I choose peace.

When there’s chaos in the world, I will be still in mind & heart.

The world keeps tryna tell me something, I have to be quiet to listen.

Cause’ when the world speaks it’s on behalf of humanity.

Everything that exists must be examined for it’s pure essence, including myself.

I’ve been hearing my entire life, that it’s important to listen as much as I speak.

A woman of few words, I’ve decided to kill the noise and transform my reality.

I thought I would never be interested in poetry again, like it’s a lost art.

It’s like I’ve lost my sense to be... to create.

There was no spark, but I decided to ignite the fire because my words were worth the wait.

I am the collective that will be curated in the museum of my soul, marking my presence.

I no longer will paint the image that others want to see, I’m giving you a glimpse of the person I am destined to be.
