A constant beating,
The reminder of what is fueling your life.
The joy sought after relieving their strife.
The energy burned, but enough to last an hour.
Your full effort given, even when you are left with no power.
You struggle for more time when there is clearly none available.
The easiest way to cope is to deny the inevitable.
