Rotting Spring
Spring symbolizes growth and healing
Yet here I lay rotting in my sweat and tears
Migraines from dehydration
Which the sprouting tulips outside would not know of
I curl into the heat of my blanket
Encouraging the sweat to thicken
As another storm rolls in
And the life outside prepares for the rain to fall
I too prepare
To water my bedsheets with a salty sadness
Drinking me dry
