In The Silence

Moments enrapture my day
I close my eyes and see your face
the memories play
I wonder if you’ll forgive me
come and take me away
from a life that doesn’t mean
awful much, anyway.

Loneliness is an all-consuming disease
Angel, please save me
I’ve fallen to my knees
Longing to be touched
My body hurts
Walking away was my biggest mistake
you’ll never be close enough.

Distance between us unbearable
I’m not without my merits, but
without you, I’m so breakable
Easily bruised, this heart is fragile
I’m a mellow kind of hysterical

Loneliness is an all-consuming disease
Angel, please save me
I am down on my knees
Longing to be touched
My body aches
Walking away was my worst mistake
you’ll never be close enough

You could always make me breathless
and take all these words away
I liked it best when I was speechless
and there was nothing I could say
I found I can only be the real me
when we are lost in the silence
the barriers all fade away
when love is at its most intense

Loneliness is an all-consuming disease
Angel, please save me
I’ve fallen to my knees
Longing to be touched
my body hurts
I have feelings and words
you’re still not close enough
