Seventy years ago today
Joy softly bloomed in early morn
She brought rose petals, not one thorn
And blew the heavy clouds away
She lives life guided by her faith
Blessed always are all her days
Trials she faces with quiet grace
And walks a humble, steady path
To all she meets, she gives her best
A listening ear, a helping hand
She lifts the hearts that barely stand
And leaves each troubled soul at rest
The silver gently crowns her hair
But youth still dances in her smile
Her laughter lingers all the while
A timeless grace beyond compare
She moves through time with quiet ease
Her wisdom earned with gentle years
She’s faced the dark, outlasted fears
And brings the restless heart to peace
She walks with grace through evening’s light
Still steady in her quiet way
Love’s warmth will guide her every day,
As stars begin to crown the night
And I will walk beside her still,
Through twilight hours calm and deep
I’ll treasure all we’ve yet to keep,
And greet the dusk with quiet will
