Sunrise, Sunset

Each day I wake, I see your lovely face;
You’re my sunrise; the rays warming me up
From the early morning chill; you’re my cup
Of blessings; thoughts of you I can’t erase
True, we’re apart, and I thirst for your touch
Till then, my love, your voice has to suffice
When together at last; you’ll be the spice
To flavor my days; evenings just as much!
So tarry not, my sweetheart! Come to me
Let me caress you; not imagine your smiles
Taste your lips; not hear you across the miles
Let you and I write our common story!
Come soon, love, let’s spend our days together
Watch the sunrise, ‘morrow, ever after!

Watched a flock of seagulls soar in the sky,
White birds, although they appeared darker-hued
In sunset I squinted hard as I could
On the bench we sat last time, you and I!
Oft times, I come here at this time of day
The sea, the beach, the sky; remind me of you
The kids at play, the salty air, the view
The fun times we had, sunset, in this bay
Please come back, my love, as soon as you can
For the sunsets we could share, is finite
Come, let’s enjoy our days, so we can write
Our story from the place where it all began!
‘Twas sunset, winter years ago, love’s born
As we talked, dusk to dawn the foll’wing morn!

I wrote these two sonnets separately but thought they should be one poem.
