I say Kaddish

My forgiveness

My dear Mother passed away
More than thirty years ago.
I became older and now understand
Her behavior more and more.

When I was a teenager
I protested her prohibitions
Not to go anywhere,
Not to follow all my desires.

She were so strict,
She didn’t allow me anything
I often wanted.
Now I understand, how I was wrong.

I thought she didn’t love me,
But she was smart and tender to me.
She called me “my beauty”.
She took care of me,
And am thankful for it now.

In her old age she sad,
“I didn’t want you,
Because it was the Second World War,
But now I live with you,
And you take care of me”

I send my prayers to my parents
To their immortal spirits,
I feel in nature their fragrance
I say Kaddish growing up the skirret.

(2013)

I sang the song "Mother", when I was a child, and I came back to it in my autumn
