Fathers, there are so many.
Sugar daddy, mister, master,
another male heading us for disaster.
Reasons to fall apart, wail.
He was an alcoholic, beat us, left.
An example, an excuse to fail.
Fathers, there are so few,
Heavenly Father, forefather, pa.
Lift us up, teach us right,
tuck us in, kiss us good night.
Broad shoulders carry us, nourish.
He was a hero, solid, always there.
Showed us to live, how to flourish.
