Deeply Does It

I sat behind a screen of smoke
Gagging hard for not to choke
A single tear dare not appear
At fleeting feelings of hate and fear
Amongst the mess I once did ponder
In the past my mind did begin to wonder
A sudden pain of tooth and grit
I study the future and how no one knows it
Again the feeling of disconcert
As I wade deeper through the tarnished dirt
A flash of backlash begins to crash
As that tear now appears and vows to last
My head just starts to blister with pain
As I ponder my existence with much disdain
I grow older and wiser with every breath
But still can’t help wonder how I will meet death...
